“Mixed-up Holidays” is a song about a bad dream where Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays get mixed up. Santa Claus ate turkey legs, and for breakfast he ate scrambled eggs – and sweet potatoes, pumpkin pies and cranberries on the side. There were elves and monkeys … it was so weird that the person almost cried inside. Santa drank some turkey cider from a Christmas sock - he sneezed and blew the presents to a boating dock! Rudolph set off fireworks in his Christmas sleigh … and made a great big mess that wouldn’t go away. Ho Ho Ho, Gobble Gobble Gobble … mixed-up Holidays. How did it get this way?! … It was a bad dream - perhaps it must have been from having eaten that bowl of whipped cream!

Lyrics

(V1) Santa Claus ate turkey legs
Late on Christmas Eve
And for breakfast scrambled eggs
‘ Would you ever believe?
Sweet potatoes, pumpkin pies
‘ Cranberries on the side
Elves and monkeys
It was weird
I almost cried inside …

(V2) Santa drank some turkey cider
From a Christmas sock
Sneezed and blew the presents
‘ to a boating dock!
Rudolph set off fireworks
in his Christmas sleigh
Made a mess, a great big mess
that wouldn’t go away …

(B1) Ho Ho Ho … Gobble Gobble Gobble
Mixed up Holidays
Ho ho ho … Gobble Gobble Gobble
How did it get this way?

(B2) Ho ho ho … Gobble Gobble Gobble
This is such a crazy dream
Ho ho ho … Gobble Gobble Gobble
It must have been the bowl of whipped cream!
